It's over

Christmas is over. A few years ago I determined that the best part of Christmas comes as I am driving home from my Moms, because it's the longest possible time before more Christmas.
Got out on a couple of rides over the weekend. Sunday and Tuesday. Tuesday was a good ride, Russell, Bubba and Me. About 30 miles, I would have liked to go a little longer but the fancy trail south of Hampton was flooded, and the ass-water was deeper than it looked. First my feet got wet, then they got cold. Funny how that works in December.
I ordered a new toy, it should be here any day. Now I will be able to to give the exact coordinates of where I popped and got dropped, oh yeah.

I hate Christmas...

I really do. Some will say "Don't be such a Grinch" or "bah humbug". I am sure these are the same people that buy "I hate Mondays" coffee mugs. I don't hate Christmas for the getting together with friends and family part, I like that part. I hate the commercial part. I hate the part where I am bombarded by messages that essentially say, "If you don't buy the perfect gift (which we have in stock and on sale) you're a chucklehead". I hate the fact that said bombardment starts slowly in September and come to an angry yellow head in December. Oh, and Christmas music, I ain't even goin' there. To make it worse, Christmas comes at the worst time of year. The days are short and gray, time outside is minimal, it's dark when I go to work and dark when I leave work.
My personal favorite holiday is July 4th. The weather is warm, the days are long, things get BBQ'ed, things explode, the way a Holiday should be.

In other news, Anne and I bought rings last weekend. No date set yet.

I've been working out at the Y pretty regularly. I bought a new HR monitor. I read the instructions and set it up in less than an hour. It was shipped with the language set to German, I don't speak German. Finding the English took the longest.
That's all for now.

Sorry

Bubba brought to my attention that a link I posted was attached to some really nasty images. When I clicked the link on my computer I get the intended image, When I clicked the link on Anne's computer (and apparently everyone else's) the nasty stuff appeared. I also acquired a virus. The lesson here is; Be careful when you use Google Images.
Once again, Sorry.
