More garage and F'n day job

Monday the concrete boys showed at 7:00 am as promised. They did a nice job. Must have been too early for the neighborhood toughs and Russell as our new concrete stiffened up unmolested. I would have stabbed a Mother F'er in the neck with a pencil had our shit been F'ed with. 2 to 3 weeks for curing and then the carpenters show up.
Wednsday Anne and I went down to the Alpha Trail for some mountain biking. Trails were in great shape. We moved kind of slow, Anne's MB skills are a little rusty. She had never been on those trails before and she want's to do the Wednsday night races. Please be courteous to when you pass her at the races as I will have the aforementioned pencil in my jersey pocket.
Thursday Because of that F'n day job, I did'nt get out of work in time for the beatdown. As I type this post the time is 6:12, I figure Bubba is by his lonesome now. I have got to remember to take that pencil to work with me.

My New Garage

Tuesday the excavators showed up and tore into the back yard. Thursday they showed up and put down some forms and Monday they will be back to pour concrete. Anne is going to sit in the back yard with a shotgun after the concrete guys leave. We don't want any of the neighborhood toughs or Russell coming by and violating our fresh cement.
Tuesday night I went out for a river tour with OIBMFTO Randy, Bubba and Tool. I rode Bubba's Rig. I had never ridden a 29'er before, I could get used to it.
Thursday night I climbed aboard the Beatdown Express. The pack fodder joining me this week were Bubba, Bruuuuuuce and Da Sug.
This weekend I hope to get out to the Kettles racing starts in a few weeks I really should get in some hill work before then.

This week

Thursday was the official start of the "Thursday Night Beatdown". I took my usual place off the back about 10 miles in. Joining me this week were Booran, Bubba, Kenny, Bruuuuuce. Jack had us doing 30 mph down Woods road. Is that right for April? Not for Coop it ain't. Now that I think about it , it ain't right for Coop in July either. So I will stick to my regular game plan: hang in as long as I can and then ride in with the rest of the pack fodder.
Friday was a perfect day. But I did not ride. I had to work. When I got home I found out I had to move flowers because the excavators are coming on Tuesday to start building my garage (WHOO HOO). I can't wait till that's finished. Then I know I have a place to sleep if Anne gets pissed at me.
Saturday I rode to the start of the W&S ride. I had to turn around at that point because I had to go with Anne to Whitewater for Easter dinner. A day early but no less tasty. Ham Is there anything it can't do.

I love my job

2 of the best days of the year so far and I have to put in 10 1/2 hour days. Hopefully I will at least be able to make the Beatdown on Thursday. Not being able to ride all week makes the Beatdown even more painful.

The week in review

Monday- Friday-Went to work (now make the universal motion for jerkin' one and say "oh boy").
Tuesday night was a trip to the Y .
Wednesday night I rode the river trails with Skid and The Shed Master.
Thursday night I had to work so I rode my trainer in the basement.
Saturday brought about the weekly ride around wind lake. No racing on Sunday so this weeks ride was much faster than the last few weeks. The WORS season is close enough to smell now, oh wait, that's just me, nevermind. I blew up and I blew up hard. Melted asphalt were I exploded. It was probably still bubbling when Buran finally rode by.
Sunday- We started a ride out to Pewaukee with 7 but came back with 6. DaSug had to go around the lake to bitch slap some sucka that was givin' his top earner a hard time. We kept it together mostly. Rick had his new bike and had to get the wrenches out to work the new's out of it a couple of times. It was a good ride.
